We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
We introduce our smartphone-free policy before the children join our school in Reception. We offer regular updates on this policy and offer parent meetings so that we can explain the methodology behind this decision.
Additional policy features:
- We limit smartphone use during after school clubs,
- We never ask children to use smartphones for lesson related activities or otherwise,
- We limit smartphone use on school trips,
- We actively engage with parents and children to educate on the downside of smartphones,
- We actively minimise the need for smartphones when completing homework, enabling alternatives where possible,
- We are excellent at implementing our policy
