Invite your Headteacher to register

Is your school gold, silver or bronze? Email your Headteacher to invite them to register! If they're not there yet, you could let them know about this scheme. More resources for headteachers will follow in time.

Add a school to the map

Parents can put a school on the map by searching for their school and selecting 'add policy'. You can then invite your headteacher to make their pin official.

Dear Headteacher,

It looks like our school qualifies to appear on the list of registered smartphone free schools. There's an explanation of the levels here: smartphonefreelist.org/levels-explained.

It is free to register, and all you need to do is search for the school in the map, click 'register (schools)' and fill out the form: https://www.smartphonefreerating.org/map

Once registered, the school will be given 'smartphone free' logos to use on the website, and have a full profile page to showcase the detail of what's excellent about the smartphone policy.

Because smartphones are such a big concern for parents at the moment, this is a way that schools can show that they have good smartphone policies. You can take a look at the schools so far here, and also find smartphone policies for other schools - smartphonefreelist.org/map

There are also some useful research papers here: smartphonefreelist.org/research.
