Mike Baxter
Co-Founder and Headteacher Co-Chair
Mike has been Principal of City of London Academy in Southwark since 2019. Since 2021 Mike has been a keen advocate on the need to regulate students smartphone and social media use due to the plethora of downsides that are now widely known.
In May 2024 Mike worked alongside the other secondary Headteachers in Southwark to align smartphone policies and continues to be an advocate on this matter.
Max Haimendorf OBE
Co-Founder and Headteacher Co-Chair
Max founded and led King Solomon Academy in Westminster, which consistently achieved top percentile academic progress and was graded Outstanding in all inspections. During this time the school did not allow Smartphones on site - to reduce disruption and harm during the school day - but also to reduce their use outside of school.
Max was awarded an OBE in 2020 for services to education, has worked across schools and supported the Department for Education.
