We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
We ensure that our senior school pupils have a distraction-free day, by securing their smartphones in pouches. Pupils in juniors and pre-prep are not allowed phones in school. We actively promote Smartphone-free childhood's Parent Pact in our community and are working towards becoming a completely smartphone-free site.
Additional policy features:
- We never ask children to use smartphones for lesson related activities or otherwise
- We actively engage with parents and children to educate on the downside of smartphones
- We actively minimise the need for smartphones when completing homework, enabling alternatives where possible
- We are excellent at implementing our policy
