We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
How a reduction in smart phones has led to improved mental health and well-being of pupils and a significant reduction in online incidents. This has led to children being happier overall.
Additional policy features:
- We never ask children to use smartphones for lesson related activities or otherwise
- We limit smartphone use on school trips
- We limit smartphone use during after school clubs
- We actively engage with parents and children to educate on the downside of smartphones
- We actively minimise the need for smartphones when completing homework, enabling alternatives where possible
- We are excellent at implementing our policy
