We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
Our smartphone policy was developed with our 6 feeder Primary Schools and in collaboration with our parents so that the whole catchment area is smartphone free protecting the wellbeing of all children in our community and supporting parents to only introduce smartphone technology at a time and age that they feel is appropriate for their individual child.
Additional policy features:
- We never ask children to use smartphones for lesson related activities or otherwise
- We actively engage with parents and children to educate on the downside of smartphones
- We actively minimise the need for smartphones when completing homework, enabling alternatives where possible
- We are excellent at implementing our policy
