We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
We have had a phone free school day since the school was started 25 Years ago. The absence of phones allows children to think freely and build excellent relationships with each other leading to a calm and happy environment.
Additional policy features:
- We actively engage with parents and children to educate on the downside of smartphones
- We never ask children to use smartphones for lesson related activities or otherwise
- We limit smartphone use on school trips
- We limit smartphone use during after school clubs, - We are excellent at implementing our policy
- We actively minimise the need for smartphones when completing homework, enabling alternatives where possible
