We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
Children in Years 5 & 6 who walk home may bring a 'brick' phone to school for safety and our office store it securely for the day. We pair this with robust education about how to keep safe online, delivered half termly with lots of regular reminders.
Additional policy features:
- We actively engage with parents and children to educate on the downside of smartphones
- We are excellent at implementing our policy
- We actively minimise the need for smartphones when completing homework, enabling alternatives where possible
