We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
We want to put the wellbeing and safety of our children first, and help them to live a free, fun and innocent childhood. We also want to support parents in making decisions about delaying smartphone ownership, and understand the real challenges that exist with smartphones, before it's too late.
Additional policy features:
- We actively engage with parents and children to educate on the downside of smartphones,
- We never ask children to use smartphones for lesson related activities or otherwise,
- We limit smartphone use on school trips,
- We limit smartphone use during after school clubs,
- We actively minimise the need for smartphones when completing homework, enabling alternatives where possible,
- We are excellent at implementing our policy
