We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
We are incredibly proud of how far we have come with our Online Safety Policy. We have worked tirelessly with our governors, staff, pupils and parents to create a smartphone and smartwatch-free school from this coming September. We know that in doing so we are enabling our children to just be children for that little bit longer.
Additional policy features:
- We limit smartphone use during after school clubs,
- We actively minimise the need for smartphones when completing homework, enabling alternatives where possible,
- We are excellent at implementing our policy,
- We actively engage with parents and children to educate on the downside of smartphones,
- We never ask children to use smartphones for lesson related activities or otherwise,
- We limit smartphone use on school trips
