We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
Since we have implemented a 'smartfree phone approach', it is immensely pleasing that our pupils will not be accessing their mobile devices for at least 6.5 hours during the school day, a time in which they previously would have (on the balance of probability). We are proud that you can walk into our building at any time of the school day (Including breaks and lunchtime) and mobile phones will not be seen - this can only be beneficial for our community
Additional policy features:
- We actively engage with parents and children to educate on the downside of smartphones
- We never ask children to use smartphones for lesson related activities or otherwise
- We are excellent at implementing our policy
