We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
We are passionate about this issue and also how to support parents. We have implemented joint strategies such as Let Grow, focused on giving children opportunities to play more in the school site after school in an attempt to change phone use and behaviour.
Additional policy features:
- We limit smartphone use on school trips,
- We never ask children to use smartphones for lesson related activities or otherwise,
- We actively engage with parents and children to educate on the downside of smartphones,
- We actively minimise the need for smartphones when completing homework, enabling alternatives where possible,
- We limit smartphone use during after school clubs
