We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
At Highdown we don't see or hear smartphones. By banning smartphones students are given the freedom to play and socialise with their friends in real life and the mental capacity to focus exclusively on their learning.
Additional policy features:
- We limit smartphone use during after school clubs,
- We limit smartphone use on school trips,
- We actively minimise the need for smartphones when completing homework, enabling alternatives where possible,
- We are excellent at implementing our policy
