We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
The moble phone policy sits withing the wider context of behaviour.
Children are advised not to bring mobile phones to school. Where this is deemed absolutely necessary and agreed with parents/carers, children should leave their mobile phones in a designated box in the school office for the duration of the school day, collecting at 3.30pm. Mobile phone use is not permitted
during the school day and if staff are made aware of a child with a phone, they will direct them to take it to the office.
Additional policy features:
- We never ask children to use smartphones for lesson related activities or otherwise,
- We are excellent at implementing our policy,
- We limit smartphone use during after school clubs,
- We limit smartphone use on school trips
