We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
What we’re most proud of at Dorridge is the strong partnership we’ve built with our families to create a smartphone-free environment for our children and young people. We believe lasting change can only happen through a whole-community approach, and by taking a clear stance in school, we’re helping to support parents and carers in feeling confident to delay the introduction of smartphones until an age that is more appropriate.
Additional policy features:
- We actively engage with parents and children to educate on the downside of smartphones,
- We never ask children to use smartphones for lesson related activities or otherwise
