We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
I am most proud that Brooklands has been prepared to take a brave and principled stance on an issue that we believe matters deeply for children's wellbeing. We have put children�s best interests first and worked alongside parents to create meaningful change.
Additional policy features:
- We limit smartphone use during after school clubs, - We limit smartphone use on school trips, - We actively engage with parents and children to educate on the downside of smartphones, - We never ask children to use smartphones for lesson related activities or otherwise, - We actively minimise the need for smartphones when completing homework, enabling alternatives where possible, - We are excellent at implementing our policy
