We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
We are proud that we have created a phone free culture in school. We have chosen to educate the students on why they need to be phone free while at school and this has avoided needed to use systems like pouches or lockers.
Additional policy features:
- We never ask children to use smartphones for lesson related activities or otherwise,
- We actively engage with parents and children to educate on the downside of smartphones,
- We actively minimise the need for smartphones when completing homework, enabling alternatives where possible,
- We are excellent at implementing our policy,
- We limit smartphone use on school trips,
- We limit smartphone use during after school clubs
