We are proud of our smartphone policy because:
We are at the forefront of a campaign across Solihull to minimise the impact of Smartphones on young people. We are phasing in a scheme where all students hand in their phones, and many students already voluntarily do so.
Additional policy features:
- We never ask children to use smartphones for lesson related activities or otherwise,
- We actively engage with parents and children to educate on the downside of smartphones,
- We actively minimise the need for smartphones when completing homework, enabling alternatives where possible
